illustration part 2

For this assignment we were trying to create a kind of infograph to accompany an article, and I chose "How to Escape from a Giant Octopus" from The Absolute Worst-Case Scenario Handbook, which can be read here just a little ways down the page. It ended up being a very large piece (13"x18")and quite challenging trying to get each part to read as well as work together as a whole, but I think it came together in the end. I used brush ink and watered-down gouache on illustration board.
This was an in-class assignment where we had to start and finish a portrait of Muammar Gaddafi within a few hours. He has very intense facial features which were really great to work with.
Pencil, pen and brush ink on Stonehenge.

Thanks so much Jenn! Nice to hear from a fellow OCAD student. I really admire your work as well, and I'll do my best to keep this work exciting, or at the very least worth watching.
