Girl cloaked in wings.Pencil on Canson Mi-Tientes paper.
Life's been a little ridiculous lately, this absence had been far too long. But I finally have some pieces coming to a close, and I'm really quite excited about it. This piece itself is kind of a revisitation of an old idea I had, I might do a few more if the opportunity presents itself. It'll be a part of the Drawgasmic art project/collective, which seems to be developing to be a pretty interesting endeavor.
In other news, I'm getting ready for school, getting ready to move, getting ready for commissions and the Art Walk, and generally just getting ready to make the best of the coming times.

Beautiful! What a great way to execute this idea. Love how delicate it all looks. Your level of draftsmanship is just amazing.
And it was about time you updated! I'll be waiting for those new pieces :)
Oh and best of luck with everything you are setting out to do.
Great drawing! Love the texture, and the sense of weightlessness. The cut to white look is really appropriate for this. Antony & The Johnsons are amazing too. Good post :)
Ericka - Thanks so much! I'll do my best to keep the posts coming, despite all the hassles life keeps throwing at me.
Finn - Thanks! I was originally going to have a lot more linework in this piece, but I liked the gradiated values a lot more than having outlines with everything, so I'm happy it worked out. Glad you dig the music too!
