i think you're crazy...

The Conundrum.

Work in progress shot from the beginning.

This piece took far too long. In a sense it is an exploration of the chaos of thought when faced with seemingly unsolvable problems and unreachable aspirations. The crown represents the elusive idea or solution, hidden just out of reach amidst the tangle of thoughts and emotions,

or

"Bestowment of kingship with INCREDIBLE FORCE and INCREDIBLE CONFUSION," as Alban would say.

"I think you're crazy, maybe." - Motion Picture Soundtrack, The Luyas

This is freakin' sweeeet! How you achieved that layered look is completely beyond me. I hope you got this framed.

Mike Bear: Thanks so much!

Tom Scholes: Oh man, thanks so much! It's really good to hear, since I'm a huge admirer of your art as well!

Finn Clark: Thanks Finn! The layers was just endless amounts of graphite, over and over again. It's ridiculously tedious but had some pretty wonderful results. I actually haven't framed any of my work ever, but perhaps this could be a first?

Aleta Vidal: Thanks, glad to hear it!

I really think that you should frame the piece... it needs to be up on someones wall where more people can see it. =D
