An assignment for Colour & Design, where we had to print out a provided image and paint over it, creating atmospheric perspective purely through colour...done in gouache, pretty pleased with the results, as much as I'm still dying to make something of my own...We got to watch some clips of the Sex Pistols documentary in Urban Sociology, to show the state of Britain that nurtured the punk movement of that time, and I was wondering, where's our punk movement? The world's in a pretty terrible state now, but nothing's happening, no one's moving against it...it seems like we have all the elements except the people putting it into motion...I have no ideas...
What does it take to start a revolution?

The other day my dad and I had a long conversation about zeitgeist etc. and we conceded on the point that the vast diffusion of tastes available through the democratisation of everything (music, film, etc.) through internet culture means that there's no discernible culture, so the existence of a counter-culture becomes impossible. I'm glad this bothers you too.
