arms and hearts and alcohol and faith...

Damn it's been a long time, i can't even believe how busy it's been...and nothing even all that awesome or post-worthy has been created, just random school junk...ah well, one day i'll get back to it...
however, for now, i have photos! i was lucky enough to get a little bit of an article in vol. 7 of
Notebook Magazine, and it's a killer art magazine well worth tracking down...i know on the site they have all the distribution places nationwide, but i'm pretty sure anyone outside of Canada might be out of luck...anyways, thanks to Steve Teeuwsen for tracking me down and putting me in the issue, and doing an awesome job of it at that...it was really amazing to be part of something like this...
so here's the photos from the release party/gallery at the Artery last Saturday, featuring the art of Tim Rechner, Alexis Labarda, Rhianne Ireland, Paula Sommers, Amy Sallenbach, Kevin Law, Kurt Gallop, Jess Hogan, Santino Pasutto, and myself...

the back area of the artery, some of my pieces can be seen on the far right

the leviathan, definitely the piece that got the most attention, probably because it's the only sizeable piece in my portfolio...and two other pieces at the front there as well

the front area of the space, and more awesome art

front area again, as the night wore on, and it got more crowded, with some sweet live music as well

It got quite crowded, more than i thought it would anyways, and was generally an awesome time...thanks to the few friends of mine who showed up, it's very much appreciated! hopefully i'll have more art to post next time around, but for now it's back to my mound of homework...

Hey Ashley, really like what you're doing. Those drawings from the last couple of posts are great too. TC.

thanks so much, you have some killer art going on yourself...also so pleased by your blog being named mr.november, after the song by the national, they're definitely one of my favourite bands!

Haha, true. The National are awesome, totally genius.
Thanks.
