The last two new portfolio pieces, so just more dull observational art, but i thought they turned out well, so i might as well have them here...the first one was a continuation of a brief series of self-portraits i started drawing in reflective objects, so that's the back of my ipod...and it unbelievably difficult, i never recommend it, since i had to draw it with one eye covered to make it work, but that screwed with all my perspective and made everything take ten times more effort...so yeah, whole lot of work...and the second piece is an old watercolour of some pigeons from a photo i took awhile back that i decided to finish up...scan was a four part, so it might look a bit odd, but i tried my best...
still waiting to hear if anything i've done will prove to be good enough to let me waive some of the horrors of foundation art classes...we'll see...

These are both freaking brillant. Was it harder to do iPod or spoon? Because I imagine upside down spoon would be something of a challenge. Excellent texture of the whole pigeons image, and really interesting use of space. You rock.
Comics lecture today! It was fucking awesome. We shall discuss at length.
this is insanity! I am absolutely stunned with the self portrait and the waercolour. But....ARH! The portrait!!!
That's just pure and most amazingly gorgeous art. That compostion and how close if not perfectly close you got to the real thing....just boggles my mind!
i am stunned at full potential...what will i do now
to kayte - thanks! ipod was infinitely more difficult, just because of depth problems and the text involved and so many other monstrosities...but worth it, because it turned out good and i was finally able to put on the back piece of the skin! so my ipod is now complete and sockless...
and yes, you have to tell me all!
to jean - hahah it may not be quite that good, but i'm glad you're so enthused about it, and as for what you will do now, continue making spectacular art!
Hello Ashley, Hope all is well?
I love your self portrait. Its a tricky task observational drawing from just one eye. Most impressive!
